Blood Alcohol Calculator (BAC)

Drinking affects your Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). It is illegal to drive with a BAC of .08% (.04% if you drive commercial vehicles or .01% or more if under 21). Even a BAC below .08% does not mean that it is safe or legal to drive. To calculate your blood alcohol level, enter the following information in the form below:

  • FLUID OUNCES CONSUMED
    One Beer is approximately 12 ounces. One glass of wine is approximately 4 ounces. One Shot is approximately 1.5 ounces
  • YOUR WEIGHT
    Enter your body weight in pounds
  • ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE IN BEVERAGE
    Beer is approximately 4-4.5%. Wine is approximately 15-20%. Hard liquor is approximately 30-50%
  • HOURS CONSUMING DRINK
    Enter the number of hours from when you took your first drink
